Only Thais can become property owners freehold :

Question:
I've heard that if you're married to a Thai you can buy land?

Answer:
Yes, that it true. But you can't register it in your name and you have to waive your rights to the property. Foreign nationals cannot own freehold land. A freehold land title must be registered in a Thai person's name or a company name.
